Leading Product for Hubbl's streaming services Kayo, Binge, Flash, watch NRL and Watch AFL. As well as the Fox Sports Australia digital platform. With Kayo Sports achieving #1 sports product in Australia with over 1.5m subscribers and an NPS of 49. Setting new streaming records for AFL, NRL and F1.
While the product team continued to deliver outstanding features such as 4K for Kayo and Binge. We also planned the next wave of Kayo delivering a clear vision for the next 2 years.
After the merger of the Streamotion and Foxtel Product teams, I was appointed Head of Product Experience across all Foxtel Group products, including Foxtel IQ and Foxtel Now/Go. In addition to overseeing Kayo, Binge, and the newly launched Flash News, I was tasked with leading the product work group for our new offering, "Magneto-Customer Systems," later known as Hubbl.
My team was responsible for defining and validating the audience, product offering, and purchase flows for all customer types. We produced over twenty thousand wireframes and conducted more than 150 customer interviews, working closely with Product Owners and Managers to balance customer needs, business viability, and technical feasibility.
I was fortunate to join the founding Martian team, starting with a 12-week sprint to conceptualise Kayo Sports. Over 18 months, I developed the product experience function, fostering collaboration across teams for research, strategy, requirements, and design. I established processes for product strategy and asset delivery, with UX research becoming integral through continual user testing. My team created an atomic-based library, enabling rapid design and significant cost savings.
My role expanded to second-in-command to the Director of Product, leading a team of 25-30 members. After Kayo's launch, I led the product development of Binge, defining business, customer, and operational needs, and integrating them into new roadmaps. Following Binge's launch, we pivoted to build the next streaming service, Flash News.
Kayo notably received the Best User Experience award at the 2018 OTT Awards.
As part of the product strategy for Fox Sports Digital, I collaborated with senior stakeholders and the digital product team to enhance the digital experience. I led ideation sessions with senior management, product owners, and the digital team, developing business and product canvases and creating user stories for sprint development. I facilitated product workshops, managed customer interviews and surveys, and conducted extensive competitor and market research to identify user and commercial trends, using both quantitative and qualitative methods.
During the UX and design phase, I managed two simultaneous projects on 3-week Agile sprints, covering research, wireframes, prototypes, and stakeholder presentations, resulting in detailed design documentation. I also introduced Zeppelin to improve QA with the development team, fostering close collaboration between UX, design, and development.
In my senior consultant role at Frog Consulting, I collaborated with Optus on their Optus Worldwide Strategy to revamp customer-facing platforms and online purchasing experiences. My responsibilities included managing stakeholder consultations and workshops across the business, designing retail eCommerce checkout and subscription journeys that integrated mobile, broadband, and streaming into a seamless experience, and implementing customer research and testing for both mobile and desktop systems.
I also conducted frequent stakeholder education sessions on user trends and eCommerce best practices, utilized atomic design to contribute to the component library development, and interfaced with stakeholders and executives to gain requirements approval and integrate feedback into the development cycle.
